Blood tests are common. They help doctors check for certain diseases and conditions. They also help check the function of our organs and show how well treatments are working.
Hi. Me again. I have Psoriatic Artritis. Before the Biologic Therapies, it had ended my career as a Chef and landed me on disability.
Regular bloodwork, every 4 months is now a way of life for me. It’s a good thing.
Hematology
My concern here would be “Immature Granulocytes”.
Typically granulocytes fully develop in bone marrow before traveling into the bloodstream. If immature granulocytes are found in the bloodstream, it could mean that there might be a problem with bone marrow. Or, it may simply indicate an early-stage response to infection.
Biochemical Investigation of Anemias
My concern here would be the elevated Ferritin levels.
If a ferritin test shows high ferritin levels, it most often means swelling in the body, called inflammation. Conditions that can cause inflammation include liver disease, rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory conditions, and overactive thyroid, called hyperthyroidism.
